Chapter 3

 Anna entered her house after she spent her time hanging out with her new and only friend,Luca.To be honest, she couldn't deny the fact that she really enjoyed his company and always looking foward for the next hang out.

A fortnight passed and Anna was at her house when she decided to spring clean her storeroom that was in her house.She will probably needs some help,and she knew the exact person to be asked for.Anna smiled mischieviously and quickly called Luca.

Phone conversation

Anna: Hi, Luca!

Luca: Hi, Anna. What's the matter?

Anna: Hehe.I need your help.Are you busy right now?

Luca: No. I'm in the cave right now.What can I do for you?

Anna: Can you come to my house? I'm cleaning my old storeroom.I rarely go there since my parents died.

Luca: It's fine,I don't mind! I'll be heading to your house now.Please wait for me.

Anna: Thanks.Oh!By the way,do you know where I--

Luca suddenly hung up,which made Anna surprised.Anna had panic attack for a second before she heard the doorbell rang.She opened the door just to see a fox wearing a hoodie.She released a small shriek,"AAAA!!".In a flash, the fox transformed into a human.Turned out,it was Luca,who was sweatdropping."A-Anna! It's me! Luca!" he reassured the scared Anna.

She sighed out of relieved."Please Luca,don't scare me like that-"Anna stopped as she saw Luca's guilty face.He must've felt bad for scaring her.Anna chuckled softly. "Hey, what's that face Luca? I'm fine. Now get inside before anyone sees you."

Luca smiled and obeyed as they got inside her house quickly.They went to the storeroom and started  cleaning it..Within an hour, they're almost done.Luca was carrying a box when a book fell out from the box.He was about to pick it up but stopped when he saw a picture of his parents with two other humans who looked similar to Anna."Hey, Anna."Luca called Anna."Can you come here for a second? Whose book is this?"He asked as he picked up ans showed it to her.

Anna walked towards Luca and sat next to him."Oh!That's my mother's diary.I never read it though."she explained and saw the picture,"Eh?That's my parents...and warefoxes..?" "They're my grandparents!"Luca exclaimed."How can my grandparents be with your parents!?" Anna was genuinely surprised."Ohh,so that's your grandparents?" said Anna,adoring the mesmerizing feautures of Luca's parents. "This so confusing.There's must be something fishy and this book is the only answer we have.Can I open it?"Luca asked for Anna's permission."Sure.I'd like to know about it too."

Luca opened the book and both of them were shocked to see lots of pictures of their ancestors together.There's also a picture of Anna's parents hugging Luca's grandparents,who were in their fox form.However,there's only one story and the diary ended just like that..

Dear diary,

 Today's the last day for the Hollands to befriend with warefoxes.You want to know why?Let me tell you.

 Earlier in the morning,me and my husband,Henry went to the cave to hang out with the Antonio family.We were just relaxing our mind when we heard some sound like someone fighting with someone else.As brave as lions,we exited to cave and were shocked to see Luke's parents,which were the Antonios fighting with vampires. 

 We went towards them to help.Thank goodness that my husband bought two pocketknives with him.He gave me one and both of us attacked the vampires.There were about ten of them.Ten strong vampires and two injured warefoxes,accompanied with two weak humans?We're no match for them,but we refused to give up.

The four of us managed to kill only 5 of them before one of the alive ones added more critical injuries Mr and Mrs Antonio before fleeing away.Henry and I immediately rushed towards them,who were on the ground,bleeding.We were about to cut our arms to feed them with our blood when Mr Antonio stopped us.

"Please..stop what you're doing.It's too late already.."

"No,you can't die!Your child and kingdom need you two!"

"W-We're sorry.Please take care..of my family..don't let the vampires..take our land.."

And those were Mr Antonio's final words.His wife seemed to be dead too.Before we both could do anything,Luke came and and aghast at his parents' dead.Our own best friend accused us for killing his parents,probably because he saw us holding Henry's pocketknives,which were covered with blood.

"You traitors!No wonder why humans are such a faker.I've should have known this earlier,and my parents won't be killed by YOU TWO!"

We tried our best to tell Luke the truth but he refused to listen and ignored us.He even swore to wipe off humanity and forced us too leave,which we did.This made Henry and I felt guilty.Is this the end of our friendship?Maybe..

However..we hoped that Luke's word won't be real because if it does,it will be a huge disaster and our relatioship with warefoxes might be ruined!That boy was probably traumatized,so we'll try telling him the truth,no matter what the cost.

"So that's the cause of our hostility?!"Anna exclaimed with teary eyes.She never expect that her parents had been hiding such thing from her."That..That's why my parents always took me outside the walls in the past..they wanted to search for Mr Luke,your father!"

Luca's feelings were mixed.His breath paced and he gritted his teeth."No wonder I have a strict father!Anna,I'm telling him the truth!"said Luca with determination.Anna hesitated,afraid that her friend has to deal with consenquences later."B-But Luca.."

"Anna,your parents and my grandparents deserve justice.Because of my father..no..vampires,your parents bore the repercussions and failed to tell my father the truth.Please let me do it,Anna."Luca persuaded Anna."Fine,but please be careful.Oh,and bring the diary with you.This is the only evidence that we had."Anna said as she gave him the diary.

"Sure,thanks a lot!"Luca thanked her and took the diary.He then went outside and transformed into a fox before leaving the town quickly.He ran and ran until he reached his hometown.
